As no-one, atleast as of yet, has updated the Homepage in any shape or form- can you sense my disapproval?- I have used 'Gobbo Prerogative' to inform you all of the GREAT NEWS that Eclipse has downed the 'Old God', Yogg-Saron, in Ulduar (I cannot tell you when, as I no longer play). Thus completing the instance and moving on to 'Hard Mode'. Sadly I can't bring you the actual kill-shot, as one has not been presented- alas. But congrats to Eclipse- and the best-of-luck with Hard Mode. P.S: Uulwi ifis halahs gag erh'ongg w'ssh?

.....YES! This was an APRIL FOOLS joke.
Eclipse today announced that the guild would effectively "disband" and step down from the raiding scene. The guild shall continue on but in a casual/social capacity only, with no intentions of pursuing pve objectives or goals for the foreseeable future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the great players who have made this guild what it is over the years, those still with us and those long since gone. Since the very first days in Molten Core to the final days of SWP and onwards into Northrend, you guys have been what made the whole ride worthwhile. It's always been about the journey and never the destination. Thanks to each and every one of you for making that journey so special. Read More...

Better late than never? By Nightgobbo Published: December 1, 2008

Fortunately the title of this article is not meant to sum up our PvE progress, mearly the weeks in which I have failed to update the Homepage with tidings of our Northrend adventures, of which there have been many. Well 1 month and 5 days since we had our second and last game over of TBC, we have our first in Northrend: all content cleared on Monday 24th of November. In many ways there was more cause for concern than celebration: two weeks into Wrath we have cleared all available content; compare this to TBC, where the first real raid instance (SSC) took us four months to beat. But, the speed of the clear is still very complimentary of Eclipse, it catapulted Eclipse well up the ranks of Wowprogress: an achievemnt to be proud of. The preparation for Ulduar begins now; regardless of it's difficulty there is no doubt Eclipse will put 110% into it. Malygos 25 Man: Server First
Naxxramas 25 Man: Server First
Sartharion 25 Man: Server First .jpg)
We also claimed Sartharion and Naxxramas 10 Man "Server Firsts"- but you know, we hate to brag!!
A big well done to Spike (Mister GM of Eclipse) who claimed Frostwhispers Alliance first 80, as well as the first Night Elf (obviously). Aargoth (Hero <3), Tyriel, Theoron, Albert and Kheli also deserve a big /cheer, all being incredibly fast, scraping may realm first Feats of Strength between them. One last well done to Elthion Lady of Darkness, Right Hand of Ebon blade, a long standing Member who returned to us in style as the Guilds very first 80 Death Knight, and the Alliances 3rd.

The Crusade Extinguished. By Nightgobbo Published: October 20, 2008

Eclipse once again has game over, with the defeat of Kil'jaeden (19/10/08) While Kil'jaeden isn't the most challanging encounter Eclipse has faced, his defeat symbolises the end of our 21 month journey through The Burning Crusade. To speak metaphorically, he was the last peice of the jigsaw, representing that we have completion.
We end TBC as the best Frostwhispers PvE side has to offer, a feat that took us 3 years to achieve, but is truly deserved. A good job to everyone. Loot: Approved- Apolyon, the Soul-Render, Theoron- Sunflare, Tequan- Borderland Paingrips, and Reclusive- Cover of Ursol the Wise Eclipse started out as a newly reformed guild, and with our highs have come lows; we've come close to disbanding more than once, and yet our greatest strength is our ability to persist and be a unified team. Our sense of community is what we most prize, and although the roster is a lot different now from when we started out, we remain a solid core, and I'm truly proud to be part of Eclipse. On behalf on the current Eclipse, I'd like to thank every member, past and present, who has contributed something to the guild. See you in Wrath of the Lich King.

N.S.F.W: (PS: Muru down!) By Nightgobbo Published: September 8, 2008

The Naaru and Void-God have given us a beating over the past month; but, finally, I'm happy to report: M'uru and Entropius are down. Which, not only gives us a well deserved Server First, but just one more encounter between us and the end of Sunwell Plateau. I'm sure everyone will agree that this encounter really breaks the mould, and despite it being infuriatingly-frustrating (1% HRRRRNNNNGH!), it will be the encounter that defines PvE in TBC. It took a lot of effort and hard-work, so a really well done to everyone. It hasn't been the easiest of times, with 'unforunate departures'- Yes Yaka and Jimmy, thats what I define you as, for want of a better term that won't get people banned from Work- fuck it, you're cunts. Added to that, the last month has given drama, slack (myself included in that), a Summer Guild lan, and now a M'uru kill. So here's to another month, and the soon-to-be, completion of 'The Burning Crusade' I thought I'd do two screenshots to mark the 'momentus' occasion- (don't say I never spoil you)

P.S: Spike your attempt at making a home-page post fails, leave it to the pro!
